Students will solve problems involving currents and DC circuits, Ampere's law, the Biot-Savart law and the Lorentz force. They will review the definition of the magnetic vector potential and solve problems involving magnetic dipoles in magnetic fields. Student will also study the formulation of magnetostatics in the presence to macroscopic media. They will review the definition of of the magnetization M and the magnetic induction H and solve problems involving Ampere's law for H.
